Ohio Man Arrested On Drunken Driving Charge Early Saturday Morning
On Saturday, 35-year-old Timothy D. Moran was taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol after the pickup truck he was driving left County Road 466 and hit a palm tree.
After the accident was reported, a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy went to the site in the vicinity of County Road 223 and County Road 466. A red Dodge pickup was seen by the Deputy travelling with extensive damage, indicating the vehicle was the one which was reported with a reckless driver behind the wheel and had hit a wire fence and a palm tree.
The deputy saw signs of intoxication so he issued a field sobriety test to the driver which he failed. A breath sample was taken for the BAC level test which showed he was driving with a BAC of .153 percent.
He was charged for DUI as well as hit and run. His bond was set at $2,500 and he was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
