Ohio Man Arrested On Drunk Driving Charge After Truck Leaves CR466, Strikes Palm Tree
35-year-old Timothy D. Moran of Dayton, Ohio was arrested Saturday morning on a drunk driving charge after his pickup truck left County Road 466 and struck a palm tree.
A reckless driver was reported to the Sumter County sheriff’s office and a deputy was soon dispatched. The incident took place in the vicinity of County Road 223 and County Road 466. The deputy located a red Dodge pickup which had struck a wire fence and a palm tree and was extensively damaged.
According to the deputy, it appeared that Moran had been drinking. He was issues field sobriety tests which he failed. His breath sample reported a BAC of .153 and .150 respectively.
Moran was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and hit and run.
He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $2,500 bond.
