MIAMISBURG – According to the police, 20-year-old Robert L. Brock, a Miamisburg man, drove to the police department to turn himself when he realized he was too drunk to drive and would get involved in an accident.
At 6:36 a.m., he drove his van to the Miamisburg police department and turned himself in for DUI. The test showed his BAC level 4 times the legal limit.
He is in Montgomery County Jail now on an operating a vehicle while intoxicated charge.
The officer who took him into custody said Brock showed signs of intoxication and he appeared drunk.
Officer Steven Gau said, “He told me that he was drunk and that he wished to be arrested. He told me that he had been looking for a police officer for over two hours to try to turn himself into. He realized that he was too drunk to be driving. Stated that he was concerned that if he continued to drive he was going to get into an accident and kill himself or somebody else”.
On Monday, Brock is summoned to court, according to the online jail records.
